Are you a history buff?
Sometimes we like to sheild our young from the unpleasant realities of life.
I am thinking that is what happened to this history lesson about young George Washington, the Father of our Country.
How many of you know that George, then just 22 years young, ambushed a party of groggy and sleeping French and Indian scouts in a little glen in SW Pennsylvania, and subsequently signed a confession stating that he was an assasin? And that the only reason he was not hung on the spot was because of some faulty intellegence? Didn't know that? Me neither.
The story is much bigger than that, and has as many twists and turns as the Youghiogheny River that played a big part in the series of events that brought him to the decisions that brought us to the dawn of the French and Indian War.
