Autumn in the beautiful southern Laurel Highlands

Ahh... The smell of wood fires in the morning warms my attitude when I look out and see the frost on the strawberry patch. It is my favorite time of year! The leaves have scattered and dance on the bike path and I know that Mother Nature is preparing for a quiet slumber. I love to see the woods without their petticoats on and the stark legginess of the deciduous trees and shrubs bared for my painter's eye all the way down to the river's edge. Lovely. Why not make some plans to take a hike and breathe in the crisp air up here on the mountain? We’ve logs on the hearth and some new recipes to share....
