Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob are only a short, picturesque 30-minute drive from Hartzell House, and tours can be booked through us by either adding the package at check out or by phoning in your reservation and requesting either the in-depth or the regular tour and giving us your time and date preferences Alternately, you can choose your specific time and date by booking directly at  www.fallingwater.org.

For the safety and comfort of all visitors, no infants are allowed on the tours, and children must be six years old to accompany adults on a Regular Tour and nine years old to accompany adults on any special tours.

Work Away Your Stay Discount

Monday through Thursday nights, you give us a day of help, and we will give you (that night and) the following day and night's lodging in either the Trapper's or Teacher's room (both have great beds). So, for one day's work, you stay two nights, for 2 day's- 4 nights. On the work days, we will provide three meals, on the free days, just breakfast and snacks.

This year's projects include:

Siding and finishing the exterior of the Studio.

Completing the organic raised-bed gardens.

Building garden arbors, fences, and gates.

Planting and maintenance of the landscape.

Tile work - inside and out.

Exterior painting.

Constructing a three-tier deck.

Constructing a chicken coop.

Best Buds' Getaway

Monday through Thursday, book an entire wing for $310 - $395 a night. Get your best friends together and escape to Pennsylvania's beautiful Laurel Highlands. A perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate. Spend the evening in the elegant, original West Wing or enjoy the lavish comfort of our Craftsman inspired East Wing, playing games, delving into literary discussions, or just enjoying one-another's company.

This rate includes evening refreshments and a morning Fresh Fruit and Double Entree Buffet. Check-in after 4pm, Check out at 11am. Limit two guests per room. Additional guests may be accommodated in the East wing for $40 per person, per night.

Enjoy an old fashioned holiday in the beautiful Laurel Highlands.

Arrive Wednesday evening to the aroma of baking bread and luscious pies. Linger by the fire with a complimentary glass of fine wine or spiced cider.

On Thursday, enjoy a Continental Breakfast of cereals, boiled eggs, home-made cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit, then spend the day your way, returning to a full, traditional Thanksgiving Feast, followed by billiards in the great-room, parlor games and classic holiday movies. Vegetarian options are always available.

Friday, wake up to the smell of ginger infused, stuffed French-toast and savory egg custards in a buffet-style breakfast. Then explore our incredible countryside and enjoy one of the area's many fine-dining establishments (not included in Special's price). Return to an evening dessert buffet.

Saturday morning, experience Hartzell Houses' mouth watering, two-course, made-to-order, gourmet breakfast, then head back home; relaxed and rejuvenated, with no holiday mess to clean!

*Optional - Extend your stay into Saturday night at our regular room rate and share a family-style pancake breakfast on Sunday morning at 9am.

Fernwalk Cottage will be offered at a discounted rate of $275 per night and guests may join us for all the above activities, refreshments, and meals for $90 per adult and $45 per child 10 and under. This may be added to your cart upon check-out.

All prices are subject to 6% state and 3% county tax.

A 50% deposit is required within 5 days of making your reservation. This deposit is refundable (less a $50.00 service fee) if reservations are canceled six weeks prior to date of arrival. If reservations are canceled within six weeks of arrival date, return of deposit is contingent upon our ability to rebook the Package.
