FERNWALK: Comfy Southern LaurelHighlands Cottage

Fernwalk is a well-appointed 2-queen bedroom, 2-bath house that was completely renovated in 2011 with your comfort and convenience in mind.   Think of it as an upscale cottage with an eclectic mix of 1948, mission and prairie nuances. 

 Grill up a perfect filet and relax on the large deck. Or, get out your book and enjoy one of the rockers on the porch off the sunroom while waiting for the moon to rise. After dark, the comfy couch and gas-log fireplace will provide a secure, relaxing and warm atmosphere. A flat screen TV and entertainment center is there for movies, sports, music and more.

Fernwalk Guest Cottage is designed to offer a romantic and peaceful haven for adults and as such is in no manner childproof, however, we do encourage your calls to discuss accommodating newborns and well-behaved older children.

Although not handicap accessible, once inside, the house is all on one-level.  There are several steps required to enter and the washer and dryer, if needed, are in the basement. There is one walk-in shower and one deep tub. Neither have hand rails, but with advance notice, a shower chair could be provided.  If needed, the Hartzell House B & B next door has a wheelchair accessible 1st floor wing; reserve well in advance to ensure availability.

Rates are for 4-people; the maximum occupancy for Fernwalk cottage is 6. Additional persons require a one-time $15 fee each and will have deluxe, twin Aerobeds and bedding available. When you make your reservations, if more than four people will be staying, be sure to discuss with us how best to prepare the house for your comfort and needs.
