Hartzell House is a handsome example of Carpenter Gothic
Victorian architecture, comfortably appointed with furnishings
designed to pamper the discerning guest. Built c1870 by Judson
Hartzell, the original structure has been
carefully renovated to retain the flavor of the era while enhancing
your measure of environmental comfort.
The East Wing, slated for opening May 15,2009, has a distinct flair of its own. While blending quite nicely with the original 1870 structure, it gives a nod to the
Craftsman era with its Bungalow inspired interiors. The common area houses a fireplace, built-in bookcases, leather couch, upholstered armchairs, a large satellite TV, and a game-table that is serving as our breakfast area until we have the new Great Room open in late 2009. There is a small kitchenette with a sink, refrigerator, and microwave for guest
convenience. The East Wing is home to 3 guest accommodations, fully equipped with amenities designed to delight the discriminating traveler. Please see our
